9up is an audio and video production. Consider the 28.8k quality of the audio and video software a good story for your kids about "when the Net first came out." The 56k+ stuff sounds pretty good.
We'll be experimenting with some of the latest streaming audio and video software for the Net, but will try to keep it as simple as possible for you the viewer. First and foremost, if you're not using at least Netscape 3.0 or later,

get it!

Audio
To get the audio feed, you'll need at least a 28.8 modem and

RealAudio

to hear the bands. Our link to RealAudio takes you directly to the download page for the FREE version of RealAudio. You can download an enhanced version of the software for 40 bucks if you'd like, but the free version works just fine. We'll also be broadcasting a 56k+ stream for those of you on your company's ISDN. The audio will sound almost CD quality (yeah, right) and you should get video at about 6 or so frames per second.

Video
Users connecting on a 28.8k modem or slower should use a combination of RealAudio and WebCamToo. You'll get about 1 video frame every 5 seconds and a clean, steady audio stream. Users connecting at higher speeds (56k, ISDN, T1) will be able to get the RealVideo connection. At this speed, you'll get about 6 frames of video. (Note: Just because you have a 56k modem doesn't mean you're ISP can accomodate a connection at that speed. Check your connection speed before choosing the RealVideo option.)
